How paying works
One currency, and it is spent only when you launch.
There is no per-seat gate on the science and no feature you have to buy twice. A plan sets how much ATP arrives each month and how many samples you can hold. Everything else is the same on all three.
Included on every plan
- Every analysis in the catalogue runs on every plan. There is no tier that unlocks one.
- Delete a sample and its space comes back on the spot.
- Unspent ATP carries forward month to month. On Lab the balance is held at 200 ATP.
- You can buy ATP packs at any time, on any plan, including Free.

Every cost is shown before you launch, and it leaves your balance when the run starts. A paid plan does not unlock an analysis. It gives you more ATP to spend, and it stops charging you for the submission helpers and for figures without a watermark.

Questions people ask
- What is ATP?
- It is what you spend to run something. An analysis costs 1 ATP for each sample it runs on, a comparison between groups costs 2 ATP, and a few analyses cost nothing at all. The exact cost is shown before you launch, and it is taken from your balance only when the run starts.
- What happens when I run out?
- Nothing is lost. Your samples and your finished results stay where they are, and you can keep reading them. You either wait for next month's ATP, buy a pack, or move to a plan with a larger monthly amount.
- Does ATP expire?
- No. What you do not spend carries forward. The one limit is on Lab, where the balance is held at 200 ATP, so a team that never spends does not accumulate without end.
- What counts as a sample?
- One sequencing run that you upload. Your plan holds a number of them at a time, and deleting one frees its place immediately, so you can rotate a small plan through a larger study if you keep the results and let the raw reads go.
- Can I run the paid analyses on the free plan?
- Yes. Every analysis in the catalogue runs on every plan, including the differential abundance comparisons and the metabolic models. ATP is the only thing that limits how much you run.
- What data can I bring?
- Human gut microbiome sequencing, from Illumina, Oxford Nanopore or PacBio. The reference data and the interpretations are built for the gut, so we are not the right platform for other systems.
